PROTECTIVE DIELECTRIC RINGS (SPACERS)

PROTECTIVE DIELECTRIC RINGS are designed to protect the surface insulation coating of the steel or polyethylene pipeline being dragged through the containment of the underground (submerged) crossings over natural and manmade barriers when constructing new pipelines and repairing the existing pipelines.

The monolithic ring segment is fabricated from nylon, the PA-6 synthetic construction material. The rings must meet the specific safety, reliability and time-proof requirements. The SPACER ring design does not include metal parts contacting with the pipeline and thus excludes any possibility of corrosion center formation and pipeline damage.

The structure consists of the segments easily mounted by bolting directly on the pipeline surface. The number of segments in the ring depends on the pipe diameter and can be normalized for a pipeline with a diameter from 57 mm to 1420 mm.
